Professional activities at Swiss TPH
  • Dr Penelope Vounatsou is a senior statistician carrying methodological research on Bayesian spatial statistics driven by applications in malaria and schistosomiasis epidemiology. Current projects in which she is principal investigator or collaborator varying from the development of Bayesian geostatistical models for large nonstationary, multivariate models to applications such as mapping malaria transmission in Africa, risk mapping of schistosomiasis and multiparasitism in Cote d’Ivoire, of food-borne trematodes in Laos and of burulli ulcer in Ghana.
