Faculty of Science

Most scientists have teaching responsibilities at the University of Basel, especially in the Faculty of Sciences, but also in the Faculty of Medicine and  the Faculty of Arts & Humanities (see box) and accept students in various PhD programmes.
The Swiss TPH offers PhD programmes in Epidemiology, Microbiology and Zoology (Parasitology). The Swiss TPH is also responsible for the newly established PhD programmes "Medical Sciences" in the fields of Epidemiology, Public Health and Infection Biology.
