Mobile Populations and Health

Research on mobile populations started with health care provision to mobile pastoralists in the Sahel and in Central Asia, notably joint provision from the health and veterinary sectors. We are currently developing proofs of concept for mobile demographic surveillance of humans and animals with modern communication technology and for appropriate TB provision in Mauritania. Our work on priority health aspects and access of labour migrants in Viet Nam and of seasonal workers in cash crop areas in Côte d’Ivoire to healthcare are accompanied by systematic policy reviews.
