Quality Management Services (QMS) is a staff organization of the Department of Medicines Research (MedRes) which has several internal and external roles.
Internally, the team ensures the continuous staff training, is responsible for the selection and training of our regional monitors and supports the institutional study secretariat.
QMS offers training courses and seminars on a wide variety of clinical trial and project management topics for external clients. These trainings include standard programs, like GCP trainings:
but also tailored courses for special needs of research organizations and Sponsors. To expand the teaching activities and the topics covered, MedRes has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vienna School of Clinical Research (VSCR). Also, each clinical project managed and/or run by the MedRes-PMU includes adequate training modules.
In addition, QMS can provide assistance in the quality management of clinical trials and offers independent reviews and audits of clinical trial sites, research institutions, CROs and Sponsor clinical operations to ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP), and applicable regulatory requirements as a part of clinical trial services.
