- In vitro cultivation of African trypanosomes and other protozoans of medical or veterinary importance
- Control and epidemiology of drug resistance of African trypanosomes
- Discovery and preclinical development of new drugs against parasitic protozoa (in particular malaria and human African trypanosomiasis)
