  • Karin Goschler works as a Financial Expert in relation to the Swiss Tropical Institute’s mandate as Local Fund Agent on behalf of the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM)

Major tasks include:

  • Assessing financial management systems, auditing and monitoring the performance of programs funded by the GFATM
  • Provision of technical support to projects implemented by the activities of the SCIH/SPMU
  • Acquisition of project assignments/consultancies

  • 2006 – present Financial Expert Swiss Centre for International Health, Swiss Tropical Institute, Basel, Switzerland. Key areas of work/main responsibilities: financial management support and fund tracking, auditing the performance of programs funded by the GFATM.  
  • 2003 – 2006 Senior Consultant PricewaterhouseCoopers, Frankfurt/M, Germany Key areas of work/main responsibilities: Compliance audit, risk management, external project reviews focusing on impact and performance of German development projects in Africa, Middle East and Asia funded by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by KfW Entwicklungsbank (KfW) and Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ).
