- Developing and supporting Indo-Swiss partnerships for research and training at the Swiss TPH, Basel
- Heading a research group in cultural epidemiology, developing mixed methods for interdisciplinary and integrated quantitative and qualitative research in mental health, infectious and chronic non-communicable disease studies in low- and middle-income countries.
- Research on cross-cutting health-related interests in stigma, gender and help-seeking behaviour for infectious and chronic diseases.
- Studying population priorities for public health interventions (e.g., treatment adherence and vaccine acceptance)
