MBA in International Health Management:

Swiss TPH’s part-time MBA in International Health Management is designed for working professionals who seek to acquire and deepen skills in both international health and management/administration. The MBA in International Health Management combines best practice with the latest research in global health to prepare participants for careers as decision makers in international health settings.

Individuals: Health personnel, business administrators and managers involved in development cooperation, and those who aspire to such positions

Organisations: Human resource and capacity development departments of development organisations which are looking for a capacity development programme that will train their employees and enhance their knowledge of international public health, health economics, management and business administration

  • A recognised Bachelor degree in a relevant field (international/global health, public health, health economics, management or business administration, etc.)
  • Two years' professional experience in programme-related areas
  • English language skills (TOEFL paper 550 / computer 213 / internet 79 - 80 or IELTS 6.0 or native speaker or completed higher education in English with written proof)

The MBA part-time programme can be completed in 2.5 - 3 years up to a maximum of 5 years (equivalent to 1.5 years of full-time study, 90 ECTS)

Blended-learning approach: each module has a one-week (5 days) on-campus tuition component, accompanied by extensive pre- and post-residential self-directed learning phases (approximately 40 and 100 hours study time, respectively).

Application Deadlines

We accept applications two times a year: 15 February (Spring start date) and 15 June (Summer start date).

Students are evaluated during both the distance-based and on-campus phases of the programme, through written examinations, individual and team assignments, oral presentations, and the Master thesis.

For Graduation completion of 11 modules and the Master thesis are required.

Payment of fees is on a course-by-course basis.

Registered MBA-IHM students and tropEd affiliates:

Module 6: CHF 3,000
Module 12: CHF 4,000  

All others: 
CHF 2,850 per module
