Mr. Klopfenstein Michel, holder of a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University in Besancon/France in February 1995, brings 21 years of experience in field gained working in countries.
He held from 2008 until November 2015 the position as Advisor in Pharmaceutical Supply Management for the Pan American Health Organization Washington (PAHO) / World Health Organization (WHO) in Haiti. He managed the WHO business, introduced for day-to-day operations the e-pharmaceutical and account management system, through successfully wiring the private-public and intergovernmental partnership. He strengthened the Pharmaceutical Supply System, and the National Drug Regulatory Authority.
He began his international career in Afghanistan in January 1996 with Phamaciens sans Frontieres .From there, he has served in various positions across the globe mainly in Pharmaceutical Procurement Supply management, including posts in Afghanistan, Congo, France, Kenya, Moldova, Montenegro, Palestinian territories, South Sudan. He has as well experience in emergency contexts, such as earthquacke in Afghanistan, and hurricane, earthquacke, cholera outbreak in Haiti
Currently working as function at the System Performance and Monitoring Unit with the Swiss TPH, he is project leader in charge of Procurement Supply Management.
