Cervical Cancer: Close the Care Gap

Women living with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are six times more likely to develop cervical cancer. Cervical cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related death among women in sub-Saharan Africa, despite being one of the most preventable and treatable forms of cancer. Together with our partners, we have developed the Cervical Cancer Prevention and Care Cascade (CCPC Cascade) - a framework for improving cervical cancer screening programmes for women living with HIV - to address this issue.
