Collaborating Centre

Swiss Centre for International Health

The Swiss Centre for International Health (SCIH) is a service department of the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH). Our mission is to improve health systems and population access to effective health services worldwide.
 
We combine scientific knowledge and practical expertise and offer comprehensive, interdisciplinary and multi-sectoral services based on the experience of the Swiss TPH and its wider network of associates. We work with partners to respond to local needs, thus tailoring our services to the contexts and countries we work in.

Our main areas of expertise are represented by four units led by Nicolaus Lorenz. We are present in 60 countries and our over 140 specialists stem from 35 nations and over 20 professions. The SCIH flyer provides more detail on the various focuses and competencies represented by our team.
