First announcement of the 11th STI Symposium on 22nd April 2008: The role of information and communication technologies supporting health systems development


The Swiss Centre for International Health (SCIH) of the Swiss Tropical Institute (STI) is organizing a new edition of the spring symposium. This year we will be focusing on the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and their impact on health systems development.

The symposium aims to provide a platform for exchange of expertise based on experience and take a closer look at good practice examples after all the stimulating declarations of the last years.

More specifically, we will be addressing the following topics:

  • Telemedicine and eHealth
  • Health Management Information Systems
  • Knowledge Management and eLearning in health systems
