Autumn Symposium 2010

The Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute is pleased to announce its annual Autumn Symposium taking place on December 9 and December 10, 2010, in Basel, Switzerland.

This event focuses on Human African Trypanosomiasis (sleeping sickness). Invited speakers and experts from international organisations, partner countries and the Swiss TPH will present new strategies and interventions towards new chemotherapeutic tools for the treatment of this neglected disease as well as issues and challenges encountered during the development of new drugs.

After the symposium, the R. Geigy Foundation will award an individual scientist or public health specialist for his/her excellent achievements in tropical disease or neglected disease sciences or international public health.
