Professional activities

  • My interest is the biology of insect vectors of human diseases such as malaria and dengue and I have recently joined STI to lead the vector control unit. In my recent work I studied the molecular basis of metabolic insecticide resistance in malaria vectors and was involved in the development of a diagnostic tool to monitor insecticide resistance in field mosquito populations as part of the Gates funded IVCC programme lead by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK.
