Bayesian Disease Modelling |
The main thematic areas of the group are disease spatio-temporal modelling and forecasting, modelling disease prevalence data with diagnostic error and co-infection prevalence from single diseases surveys. Spatio-temporal modelling is a focal reasearch area of the STI It involves developing data-driven Bayesian statistical methods and applications on disease mapping, assessment of determinants of the space-time disease distribution and projecting disease dynamics. The main areas of applications are malaria, neglected infectious diseases, cancer and mortality. The group offers a two-week course on Bayesian Disease Mapping.
