EES - Employee Engagement Survey

The Employee Engagement Survey (EES) is a strategic organisational development initiative led by Human Resources and Quality at Swiss TPH. Launched in 2020, the EES was designed collaboratively with broad stakeholder involvement - including the Directorate, departmental representatives, PhD student representatives, the DEI Network, and Administration. Grounded in lessons learned from the earlier ADMIN Survey Series (2017–2019), the EES aligns with the Swiss TPH Strategy and People Strategy, applying best practices through the EFQM model and benchmarking key indicators.

The primary goal of the EES is to ensure Swiss TPH remains a fair and attractive employer by gaining a clear, high-quality evidence-based understanding of employee engagement. Confidential, inclusive, and strategically focused, the survey provides a platform for all staff - including PhD students and employees abroad - to be equally heard. The EES informs targeted, inclusive actions that directly benefit the relevant employee groups, reinforcing the "One Swiss TPH" spirit.

Implemented over three measure points (2020, 2022, 2024), the EES enables Swiss TPH to monitor engagement trends and adapt its approach for the next strategic period (2025–2028). As a knowledge-driven organisation, Swiss TPH uses insights from the EES to continually evolve, guided by its values and a commitment to meaningful, employee-centered development.
