The Masarouna “Our Pathway” programme was a five year programme (2021-2025) and was implemented by a consortium – led Oxfam Novib. With partners from the region that included expertise to advocate with and for young people on multiple intersecting issues related to SRHR and specifically LGBTQI+ rights, civil society and alliance and movement building, challenging social norms and advancing the use of digital civic space for social change. The programme, operating in 6 countries/territories (Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Occupied Palestinian territory (OPT) and Tunisia as well as at regional and global levels), aimed to harness the power of young people to help them fight for greater freedom of choice and respect for their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) through change pathways. The MTR focused on Learning for adaptive management; enhancing sustainability and accountability by exploring OECD Development Assistance Criteria (DAC) of programme relevance, coherence, effectiveness, monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEAL) and sustainability along four learning areas – programme, capacity, partnership and context. The evaluation used mixed methods, and innovative approaches to reach and gain insights from highly vulnerable populations in a high risk context for the participants. Online, and other virtual and confidential data collection was required in most of the countries. The results of the MTR were validated by the country teams and used to inform the last phase of the project.
