MaModAfrica - Building Malaria Modeling Capacity in Sub-Saharan Africa
Project Abstract
Swiss TPH is part of the MaModAfrica Consortium, a consortium led by the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences - Research and Innovation Centre (AIMS-RIC) aiming at strengthening the African capacity in malaria modelling and its application for policy. As such, the group has been involved in several activities since the start of the program in 2022. In particular the team is involved in:
- Teaching courses in the MSc in Malaria Modelling at AIMS Rwanda;
- Co-chairing committees such as the NMCP, MSc and PhD committees;
- Development of curricula for MSc and workshops;
- Supervision master's students;
- Supervision of PhD’s students;
- Delivery of training during workshops for policy-makers; and
- General coordination support.
