FOR-GHP - Fellowship in Outbreak Readiness for Global Health Protection
The Fellowship in Outbreak Readiness for Global Health Protection (FOR-GHP) is a training programme designed for public health professionals and experts in sub-Saharan Africa who are expected to act as multipliers, facilitators and leaders in outbreak preparedness and response. The target group includes fellows working within public health institutions and regional networks who can strengthen local and regional capacity for health emergency preparedness, One Health approaches and global health security.
The teaching approach is based on blended learning, combining digital learning formats with in-person seminars, workshops and simulations. The programme focuses on competency development in outbreak management and aims to translate learning into institutional and country-level impact. In addition to technical training, FOR-GHP emphasizes facilitation, leadership, peer exchange and regional networking. An alumni network supports sustainability by enabling continued collaboration, mentoring and peer learning after completion of the fellowship.
