Profile
I always had a curiosity towards every living creature and especially how it all works together as a system. While studying Biology at the University of Basel I developed a deeper interest in ecology and fieldwork. In 2019 I worked as an intern on the tigermosquito monitoring at Swiss TPH and during my Master’s degree in plant physiology I continued to work with mosquitoes as a student helper in the Vector Research and Control Group. After that I gained more insight into the biology and behavior of insects at the research institute for organic farming, where I worked as an intern in entomology for nine months and developed further skills in insect monitoring and pest control.
Since 2023 I am fulltime at Swiss TPH as part of the vector research and control group where I am involved in projects concerning the Asian Tigermosquito mainly on a local but also national and even international scale
