Profile
Esther Künzli co-leads the Medical Services unit at Swiss TPH. Künzli studied medicine at the University of Basel and thereafter obtained a specialization in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. In 2011, she received her Master in Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She habilitated in Tropical and Travel Medicine at the University of Basel in 2022.
Her research is mainly focused on the effect of international travel on the spread of multidrug resistant bacteria.
