Evaluation O3 Zambia and Malawi - Final evaluation of O3 Zambia an Malawi project which was implemented from 2019-2023

October 2023- December 2024: Final Evaluation of the Our Rights, Our Lives and Our Future O3 Zambia and Malawi (UNESCO). In 2023, UNESCO commissioned final evaluations to assess the relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability of their Our Rights, Our Lives, and Our Future (O3) programmes in Zambia and Malawi. The Our Rights, Our Lives, Our Future Zambia O3 project in the countries was launched in January 2019 and completed their final year of implementation (2023). Using mixed methods, Swiss TPH, in partnership with a local research firm in each country, conducted a mixed methods evaluation to document learning, accountability, and decision-making, among other key purposes. The over-arching aim of the evaluations was to assess the relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability of O3 projects, and to provide actionable recommendations that can shape future UNESCO programming and implementation. Each country’s final evaluative findings were shared with national stakeholders in a validation and co-creation workshop. Recommendation emanated from these workshops and were included in the final country level reports. A comparative article on the findings was developed based on the results of the two evaluations.
