Exzellenz in der Wissenschaft - Forschung am Swiss TPH

Swiss TPH conducts scientific research across a broad spectrum of disciplines, from parasitology and infection biology to epidemiology, public health, and health systems and economics. Our aim is to advance knowledge on disease and health systems while generating the innovative tools and interventions.

We operate across the full research continuum — from fundamental discovery to translational and implementation science — deliberately bridging the distance between laboratory insight and real-world impact. Our scope extends from molecules and genes to individuals, communities, and populations, encompassing both infectious and non-communicable diseases. By integrating cutting-edge digital methods with interdisciplinary and systems-based approaches, we bring together diverse methodologies to address complex health challenges across biological, social, and ecological dimensions.

Central to our model is a value chain from innovation to validation and application. New diagnostics, drugs, vaccines, and health tools undergo rigorous evaluation in real-world settings before being translated into health system practice and policy.

Underpinning all of this are long-term, trusted partnerships with scientific institutions, governments, and implementing organizations worldwide. The combination of deep expertise in basic science with our integrated perspective on personalised, public, and global health positions Swiss TPH to advance knowledge and drive meaningful, lasting improvements in global health.
