Leandro Gandos Brito

Leandro Gandos Brito is a health economist at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute with over 15 years of experience in health economics, strategic finance, pricing strategy, and market access. He brings an international life sciences background to his current work on economic evaluations and costing of malaria interventions, supporting evidence-based prioritization and resource allocation in low- and middle-income countries.

Leandro’s research focuses on the governance and equity dimensions of malaria decision-making, using participatory and context-sensitive approaches to strengthen institutional capacity and ensure that resource allocation reflects local needs and vulnerabilities. He collaborates with the World Health Organization and National Malaria Programs to translate economic evidence into practical policy recommendations, promote inclusive stakeholder engagement, and advance equitable access to effective health solutions.
