Andreas Neumayr leitet das "Zentrum für Tropen- und Reisemedizin" am Swiss TPH. Er absolvierte sein Medizinstudium in Deutschland, arbeitete an verschiedenen Universitätskliniken in den Bereichen Innere Medizin, Anästhesiologie, Intensivmedizin, Notfallmedizin und Infektiologie in Deutschland und der Schweiz und wurde in Thailand, Peru und Laos tropenmedizinisch ausgebildet. Er habilitierte sich in Tropen- und Reisemedizin an der Universität Basel und ist ausserordentlicher Professor für Tropenmedizin an der James Cook University in Townsville, Australien.
