Research

Swiss TPH investigates infectious and non-communicable diseases across every scale, from pathogens and populations to health systems and policy. Our research spans basic science, epidemiology, and implementation science, bringing together disciplines to address complex health challenges.

What sets us apart is how we work – from discovery to evidence to action. New diagnostics, drugs and vaccines are developed, tested in real-world settings, and integrated into health practice and policy. With over 500 publications annually and collaboration in 126 countries, our work spans from our BSL-3 laboratories in Allschwil to communities and health systems worldwide.

Publications

Swiss TPH is home to the editorial office of two public health journals: The International Journal of Public Health and Public Health Reviews. These two independent society journals are owned and published by the non-profit Swiss School of Public Health (SSPH+) using the systems and services of Frontiers. Christopher Woodrow is the managing editor of both journals at Swiss TPH. The journals are published Gold Open Access and offer APC waiver schemes for researchers from low and middle income countries and SSPH+ affiliates. More information
