Rebeca Becedas Revenga

Rebeca Becedas Revenga is a public health researcher at the Swiss TPH specialising in sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV), gender-transformative health systems, and the structural determinants of health. Her work focuses on resource-constrained and complex settings, where intersecting inequalities most acutely shape health outcomes and access to care.

Applying intersectional and systems-based frameworks, she designs and evaluates integrated, survivor-centred interventions across both physical and digital dimensions of gender-based harm. She works across health and multisectoral systems to generate evidence that bridges research, policy, and practice — including on the ways digital technologies and online environments create new forms of violence and exacerbate existing inequalities.

Her methodological approach draws on feminist and systems theory, combining rigorous mixed methods with a commitment to participatory, rights-based processes. Rebeca is committed to advancing inclusive, equity-driven approaches in global health, with a focus on improving health and psychosocial outcomes for populations facing structural marginalisation and gender-based harm — whether offline or online.
