Governance and institutional policies

Swiss TPH operates within a clearly defined governance framework designed to ensure transparency, accountability and compliance with applicable legal, regulatory and donor requirements.

Our policies protect staff, partners, research participants and the communities we work with. They also provide assurance to funders and public authorities that projects are implemented responsibly and in accordance with recognised standards.

Our Code of Conduct is rooted in our values and convictions, serving as the foundation for everything we do. It provides the ethical framework upon which we base our decisions. It serves as a guideline for the ethical behaviour expected of everyone at Swiss TPH.

Swiss TPH has systems in place to prevent, detect, and report harassment, exploitation, and abuse.

These include:

  • Safeguarding Policy
  • Regulations for the Protection of Personal Integrity
  • Anti-Human Trafficking and Worker Exploitation Guide and Action Plan
  • Tell-Us System Policy (confidential reporting mechanism)

Our Generic Security Manual defines operational risk management standards, particularly for activities in fragile or resource-constrained settings.

Our DEI Policy promotes equal opportunity, non-discrimination and an inclusive institutional culture aligned with international standards.

Our Decarb Policy establishes measurable objectives to reduce emissions, improve energy efficiency and strengthen environmental accountability.
