Christoph Rösli appointed Head of Platforms

Christoph Rösli joins Swiss TPH as the new Head of Platforms. In his role, he will lead the scientific platforms and core facilities and join the Executive Team of Swiss TPH. With this appointment, Swiss TPH takes an important step in strengthening its research infrastructure and fostering research and innovation across the institute.

On 1 April, Christoph Rösli joined Swiss TPH as Head of Platforms. In this role, he will lead Swiss TPH’s scientific platforms and core facilities, which include Biostatistics and Data Management, the Central Laboratory, Cohorts and Biobanks, Projects and Grants and Research Informatics.

He brings a wealth of expertise and experience from the academic and private sector as well as in-depth knowledge directing scientific platforms across diverse settings and leading organisational changes,” said Jürg Utzinger, Director of Swiss TPH.
Rösli has worked for over 15 years in academic institutions and the pharmaceutical industry, leading research and development projects and developing scientific platforms.
Before joining Swiss TPH, he served as the Director of Research Platforms at CSL Behring in Bern, Switzerland, where he led scientific platforms in gene therapy and analytical biochemistry and oversaw a research portfolio spanning from transplantation and immunology to cardiovascular and renal diseases. Prior to this, he held leadership roles at Novartis Pharma AG in Basel and Sandoz Biopharmaceuticals in Germany.

I look forward to working closely with colleagues across the institute to further develop and strengthen these platforms and facilities, and to fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration.”
Rösli holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from ETH Zürich and completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at ETH Zürich. He has been a member of the selection board of BaseLaunch, one of Europe’s leading biotech accelerators, and contributed to numerous research publications and two patents.
