Roadmap Evaluation - Evaluation of the contribution of Fundación Anesvad to the WHO Road map for neglected tropical diseases 2021-2030

The WHO framework for integrated control and management of skin-related NTDs provides a people-centred integrated approach to reduce the morbidity, disability and psychosocial impact of skin NTDs. It defines 20 skin NTD-specific targets and indicators, some of which overlap with the 22 disease-specific targets of the WHO road map.

The project conducts an in-depth analysis on how and to what extent the foundation’s work contributed to the WHO road map in the area of skin NTDs in four selected countries – Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana and Togo – between 2017 and 2024. This is done by analysing both the WHO road map with its targets, indicators and strategies as well as the ~50 projects that Anesvad has been funding in the aforementioned countries as well as in the area of research, and by collecting complementary data to ensure a comprehensive analysis. Building on the findings, the third part of the mandate is to formulate recommendations for corrective action directed at Anesvad and potentially other stakeholders.
