RGS - Strengthening the Vector Parametrisations for OpenMalaria through Centralised Workflow Development for Improved Malaria Transmission Modelling

Mathematical models like OpenMalaria, developed by Swiss TPH, are vital for predicting malaria transmission and evaluating vector control strategies to support evidence-based decision-making in endemic countries. Historically, parameterizing these interventions has been project-specific and not streamlined, limiting scalability as demand grows. To address this, the Geigy Foundation has financed a project to develop a standardized, semi-automated pipeline that converts entomological data from various experimental trials into model parameters, harmonizing five previously separate workflows into a unified process.
