Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Swiss TPH Embraces People, Culture and Diversity
Diversity, commitment to inclusive participation and creativity are at the root of Swiss TPH's development as an organisation. Swiss TPH staff interact internally and externally, facilitated by a large network of partners and clients around the world, in a responsible manner that respects the social, cultural and environmental contexts and knowledge systems of individuals, communities and networks.
A strong contribution to shape the working culture at Swiss TPH is possible thanks to the activities of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Network (DEI Network).
The DEI Network aims to build an inclusive, supportive and welcoming culture at Swiss TPH that empowers staff, regardless of gender identification, nationality, sexual orientation, ability or age, to integrate a diversity and inclusion perspective into every aspect of their work.
“We believe it is our responsibility as an international, multicultural institute to establish policies, structures and working mechanisms to ensure that everyone is included.”
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Swiss TPH is committed to achieving the SDGs. The DEI Network aims to contribute to SDGs 3, 5, 10 and 17.
Goals 3 - Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
Goals 5 - Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
Goals 10 - Reduce inequality within and among countries
Goals 17 - Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development
Swiss TPH has a culture of partnership and mutual trust. Personal and institutional relationships have led to a network of partner institutions around the world.
