PANACEA2 Genomics
Project Abstract
The PANACEA2 Consortium is testing new drugs and treatment regimens against tuberculisis (TB) in various African countries. Our role in this consortium is to use next-generation genome seqeuncing to study the mutations causing resistance to these drugs in Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates recoverded from study participants. In addition, we are builiding bioinformatics capacity in these countries by developpjng online-tutorials and running in-country courses for the consortium members and other interested parties.
