It is important that you meet the requirements set out in the detailed module descriptions. Modules require attendance and self-study. Each module includes a performance assessment in the form of an examination, a presentation or a written assignment. For a detailed overview of the modules, please visit the MPH website.

A supervised Master's thesis at the end of the programme gives participants the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice. A total of 60 ECTS credits are completed in two to a maximum of five years while working. The programme concludes with the title "Master of Public Health of the Universities of Basel, Bern and Zurich" (MPH).

More than 100 national and international experts from teaching and practice will be teaching in the various modules. This will provide you with excellent networking opportunities with representatives from various national institutions in the Swiss healthcare system and at an international level. The programme is characterised by high flexibility, practical experience, an innovative learning environment and individual support.

The programme is aimed at professionals with a Master's degree and professional experience who wish to adapt their skills to new challenges in the health sector. Admission "sur dossier" is possible in individual cases for people with comparable qualifications and professional experience. Doctors who wish to obtain the specialist title "FMH Prevention and Public Health" will cover the required theoretical part of their further training with this Master's degree.
